Hale web design: Lace Bridal Bridal company says ‘I do’ to a fabulous re-brand.
The challenge
If shopping for a wedding dress should be a special experience, nowhere does it better than Hale-based Lace Bridal.
The shop oozes elegance, stocking a range of gowns by English designers known for their understated style and impeccable cut. But it’s the enthusiasm of co-owners Katie Webster and Lesley Davies which makes all the difference. Clients travel from far and wide to enjoy the personal service for which the pair has built a well-deserved reputation.
In late-2011, Katie and Lesley decided it was time to ensure their beautiful shop and their service ethos shone through more strongly in their branding and on their website and we gladly took on the challenge.
Project brief for web design
Lace Bridal was established 16 years ago. In the tumult of opening a new business, branding was a rushed affair and Katie and Lesley were never entirely happy with the result. Their logo was in a hand-written style, illustrated by a small pink heart. And while the inside of the shop had a more sophisticated feel, the signage, website, stationery and advertising told a different story.
Our approach was to ‘tone down’ the brand using a modern font for the company name embedded within an elegant swirling icon. We used a muted colour palette based on bridal colours of beige and cream. The elegance of the logo is carried through to the new website which now sets the scene for brides looking for the perfect dress.
Visitors can learn more about the designers, the collections and the high service levels, all of which combine to make Lace Bridal stand out from the crowd. Real-life images of ‘Lacettes’ (customers) complete with testimonials and a fun and energetic blog add personality and help to bring the brand to life.
Integration with Facebook and Twitter has been critical as these platforms are being actively used by Lace Bridal to create awareness and drive enquiries.
