Some of these applications remain in beta testing, so expect them to evolve. Here are our favourite Google apps that we at greensplash design find the most intriguing for their sheer usefulness and relevance to all business sectors. Google WaveGoogle Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where you can discuss and work together using text, photos, videos, maps etc. Participants can reply anywhere in a message, edit content and add other participants. Google AlertAnyone can set up a Google alert to track anything on the internet and you will be sent an email or text. Google AdwordsNo matter what your budget, you can display your advertisements on Google Adwords and its advertising network. An 'adword' advert is the small boxed advert on the right hand page of the search engine results page. The advert connects with potential customers at the magic moment they're searching for your products or services, and you only pay when people click on your advert. Adwords is extremely flexible, in that you can set daily budgets and targeting is very precise.
