The challenge
T.M.Duché & Sons Ltd is one of Europe’s leading distributors of desiccated coconut, coconut oil, banana chips and other quality tropical fruit ingredients to the food industry. The company has an interesting history and was founded by Tristan Mathieu Duché a distinguished lawyer and statesman of France, who in 1857, unable to practice his profession in England founded the "House Of Duché" entering into foreign trade and establishing branches around the world.
Project brief for web design
Today based in Wilmslow, Cheshire the company prides itself on the quality of the produce it supplies to its customers as well as highly competitive market rates and informed market data. greensplash was tasked with the opportunity of creating an online forum for T.M.Duché & Sons Ltd that, in addition to showcasing the quality of the products offered by the firm, also developed and maintained online relationships with its customers.
This had to be achieved by inspiring confidence in the brand and creating an understanding of the company’s ethos. The new website features a catalogue of the products offered by T.M.Duché & Sons Ltd and an interactive RSS Feed on current market data – demonstrating its knowledge and expertise in exclusively representing leading coconuut brands. Packed with personality, the www.tmduche.com website also reflects the entrepreneurial and quirky nature of its founder via its humour and facts forum.
Cameron Dick of T.M.Duche & Sons Ltd comments:
"We needed to have a website that showcased our 140 years of knowledge of the tropical fruits markets for a 21st century informed audience. greensplash created a look and feel to the website that absolutely captures this for us – it’s engaging and provides the right amount of data for our customers to make an informed choice. We feel that greensplash ticked all the right boxes in answering our brief and we are sure that our founder would be equally as delighted with the end result."
