The challenge
greensplash was tasked with completing a website redesign project for Spinney - the ‘biggest and best in the North West’ for caravans and motorhomes.
Since its humble beginnings in 1975, Spinney has successfully grown its motorhome and caravan business, becoming ‘the biggest and best in the North West’. Its corporate website, however had failed to keep pace with the business and its marketing.
Project brief for web design
Ben Holland (Sales and Marketing at Spinney) says, “Our old website had several problems. It was difficult to navigate and was hard to update. When customers wanted to look at our current stock of motorhomes and caravans, frustratingly, they could not view this information on our website.
As well as these issues, there were new marketing initiatives that we wanted to launch, such as our Club Spinney and email marketing. These needed a decent site to help capture data and allow us to publish regular information to promote these services. greensplash was recommended to us, so we approached them to hear their ideas”
A solution designed to put Spinney in the driving seat
By working closely with Spinney, greensplash was able to design an eCommerce website following a creative/technical specification that was matched to the client’s marketing needs. Navigation is now much improved and the website has been built in a search engine friendly manner. Now, Spinney can regularly update its new and used stock through an online vehicle management system, the website offers the capability to capture data for building customer relationships, and the look of the website has a fresh appeal.
