The challenge
The Winsford 1-5 design project was part of a key local initiative, commissioned by Groundwork, that demanded the skills of one of the hardest working creative and design agencies around. And that’s where greensplash rose to the challenge.
First on the list was a new logo for the campaign. Clear, branded communications were then also needed to tell local businesses all about the initiative and create a buzz of awareness. The outcome was a successful and happy one: a 'yes' vote for regeneration of the local business area. Job done.
Project brief for graphic design and branded communications for Winsford 1-5
Groundwork Cheshire, part of Groundwork EBS, asked us to deliver a range of branding and graphic design services for the development of communications for the Winsford 1-5 campaign.
An effective brand identity was the first campaign deliverable, with an imaginative brand logo needed to create a real impact. Additional requirements included a business plan document, website design, multimedia presentation materials, and other graphic design needs, such as eye-catching event invites and attention grabbing banners.
A clearly thought out solution for Groundwork and Winsford 1-5
Creating a recognisable identity was critical. Working with Groundwork Cheshire to really understand the project’s objectives, we designed a distinctive logo based around a bold ‘tick’ shape for ‘yes’. This then determined the style of the graphic design for the rest of the communications. Consistency presented clarity and cohesion - a consistent design and a consistent message that spoke loudly to its intended audience.
