Organising large-scale events can be expensive and time-consuming. When considerable effort and resources are invested into a single event, it’s paramount that clear benefits are gained. As well as delivering AstraZeneca’s Summit Meetings, greensplash developed a dedicated meeting website that supported the client in achieving its goals for the event.
Project brief for web design
Events can be used to great effect to create awareness and engage with stakeholders. However, as these are busy times, it can be a huge challenge to create the lasting impression desired.
The web offered opportunities for further interaction and engagement with event delegates, thereby extending the ‘life’ of the event. Recognising this, AstraZeneca asked greensplash to develop an educational and information-led extranet site aimed at delegates.
A tailored solution for AstraZeneca
As well as delivering the event, greensplash designed and developed an effective, branded extranet site, which aimed to provide event information to registered delegates. And as well as delivering useful information, the website helped to build a sense of anticipation ahead of the meeting.
Prior to the event, regular pre-event email updates were sent. Registered delegates could access a range of pre-event information, including speaker presentation titles, city, hotel and venue information, as well as Chairmen’s introductions and a summary of the scheduled presentations.
After the event, post-event web content was published over the following weeks, allowing delegates to download interactive case studies, event photos and video presentations synched to branded slides.
